I’m working on a C.R.A.C. piece for the next issue of Vapors. Sure, I’ve mentioned them a couple times already, but fuck it, WhatUpThough got exclusives (cue echo)!!!! This quote comes from Ta’Raach, who is just as raw with the L’s as he is with the beats. Seriously, do not sleep on any of his albums. Anyway, he has a line on “Love Don’t” off The Piece Talks where he spits, “Beautiful, dirty love is a new high for em/Pouring a poem into a porn mind, soaring.” It’s one of those lines I’m not sure I completely understand, but it just sounds dope as fuck. Come to find out, my interpetation of the line wasn’t even close to what Raach was trying to convey. Follow the jump for his explaination
“So the idea of the song “Love Don’t” where that line comes from is to acknowledge love is dope but sometimes needs drive with it to get shit done. So anyway that line in particular works with the previous line, “Lessons, you gotta trust ya essence to King, Queens of a city screenin blue skies orange, Beautiful Dirty love is a new high for em, pourin a poem into a porn mind soaring.” Yeah so I once read air pollution is the reason why the sunsets are an orange color. So with that to be with a woman in a city where blue skies are screened with orange is reflected in them. It’s beautiful, but that kind of dirty love is a new high for em. You gotta work with them. It’s like pourin a poem into a porn. But that’s just my mind soarin’. That’s pretty much it.”
