It’s very weired to go days without being on the internet, which ironically weirds me out.
I’ll kick things of with a bit of bad news, the Willie Isz project between Khujo Goodie and Jneiro Jarel has been pushed backed to 09. However, Jneiro had some good news to share with WhatUpThough, “Willie Isz EP plus some Dr Who Dat will drop very soon…”
Vordul Mega of Cannibal Ox has an album dropping on August 18th. You can check the video for the video for “Megagraphitti” off the album of the same name. Not the most animated lyricist, but dude can paint a picture with his words.
Count Bass D update: L7 is done and turned into 1320 Records. A collaborative project with Insight is half way complete, and as the fractions continue to dwindle a full length True Ohio Players album is 1/3 of the way done. A live instrument album is in the works as well.
The final version of my Slick Rick story is up. You can read it here.
Something for the grimey heads, Hell Razah and Shabazz have a cool video series running right now called The History Of Red Hook. You can check part 1 here, and part 2 here. If you haven’t kept up on Razah’s last couple of albums do that shit pronto.
I was kicking with a friend from LA last weekend who works on reality shows, doing editing and all that jazz. Anyway, he hipped me to an upcoming VH1 series that will air in September starring none other than Eddie Griffin. The premise of the show is how Eddie juggles all the aspects of his life, which sounds boring but has to be hilarious only because it’s Eddie. He also mentioned that Eddie wasn’t the easiest person to work with, and that a tape of all the ill shit he did towards staff and such had to be made to show him what he can’t do.
Oh yeah, and Danny Boy of Death Row records fame, has finally come around to release his debut album entitled (like you care) The Come Up.
